Update of Major Traffic Accidents/Death on Egypt Roads

Only multiple deaths warrant getting into the news. Accidents happen in all other countries, but here in Egypt there is a death wish driver culture. Deliberate abuse of road rules, carelessnes, speeding, coupled with many roads in poor condition. I personally will never drive on any highway at night - bad enough in daytime.

This log of death ridden incidents starts Jan 1, 2008 and I periodically update as these dreaful events occur. I have created a sumary table of the deaths to get the idea more quickly that reading the full articles. In another post I quoted an article as Egypt No. 1 in World for Traffic Deaths from a survey of 35 world countries in terms of the number of road accidents deaths - statistics registered 156 deaths for each 100,000 vehicles.
