The HD7696P has a maximum signal range of 50 miles for VHF and 40 miles for UHF. If you are looking for a similar antenna with more gain you can check out the HD7697P and HD7698P. If you are looking for a cheaper antenna because you need less signal gain then you probably want to consider the HD7694P and HD7695P. The Bottom Line: The Winegard HD7696P is just like all the other HD769 series antennas. It is the 2nd highest rated of the four and therefore has the 2nd most signal gain strength.
