I love shrimp, crab meat and all types of shell fish. Now I can get imported products perfectly packaged, and delivered to home, and right on time. This is good info for us residents so let me pass on my last story.
I was on net early hours and struck me I wanted to make some dishes with shrimp and crab meat. I had used Gourmet Egypt before so went on their web site and proceeded to make my order on line. And put in order comment to please deliver at 2 pm. Next morning received call and they confirmed order and amount. Normally in Egypt when you specify a time for a delivery it could arrive anytime and usually late by several hours with additional phone calls to find out where your delivery is! Not so with Gourmet Egypt as my door bell rang at exactly 2pm. All ordered frozen goods perfect as per order and received from a cool box with no thawing.
I was impressed and this was not my first time to be so pleased.
I have also visited their store located just off ring road first turn off past Carrefour onto sand road. Be sure to get in right hand lane as you pass the Carrefour turn off. Drive a wee bit and you will see the sign easily in a row of shops. Parking is so easy. The store is so impressive.
I also came to find out they have their own electric generator for when the city power fails in order to be sure all their imported frozen foods refrigerators for meats etc. are keep at the designed temperature.
Only bad thing is I went if for a package of shrimp and came out with arm loads of goodies.
They have a catalog as well you can pick up with magnet of back so it stays stuck to fridge(good thinking).
Dealing with these people is a joy as it is rare here to find anything that works as advertised.
They have a very impressive line of food products so be sure to visit their web site. You will no doubt get a bit hungry looking at all the tasty goodies.
